Terms of Service

By accessing or using Ape Danuma (apedanuma.lk), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. These terms apply to all visitors, students, teachers, and administrators.

All study materials, past papers, model papers, notes, and other resources on Ape Danuma are provided for personal, non-commercial educational use only. You may not redistribute, sell, or republish these materials without written permission. Resources are intended for Sri Lankan students following the national curriculum.

Student accounts: You may register as a student using your Google account or email and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must not share your account with others or use another person's account.

Teacher accounts: Teachers must register and submit accurate information including qualifications and verification documents. All teacher accounts are subject to review and approval by our team. We reserve the right to reject or suspend any teacher account without prior notice.

Account security: You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

Subscription tiers: Teacher accounts are available on Free, Basic (LKR 500/month), and Pro (LKR 1,500/month) plans. Plan features and ad visibility are described on the subscription page.

Payment: Subscriptions are activated via manual bank transfer. You must upload a payment receipt for verification. Subscriptions are activated within 1–2 business days of receipt verification.

Refunds: Subscription payments are non-refundable once the plan has been activated.

Plan expiry: Paid plans are valid for 30 days from activation. Upon expiry, your account reverts to the Free plan and ads are adjusted accordingly.

Rejected payments: If your payment receipt cannot be verified, your subscription will not be activated and you will be notified by email.

Submission: Teachers may submit tuition advertisements through the platform. All advertisements are subject to review and approval before going live.

Accuracy: You must ensure all information in your advertisement is accurate. False claims, misleading qualifications, or fabricated contact details will result in immediate removal and account suspension.

Prohibited content: Advertisements must not contain offensive or discriminatory content, contact details for illegal services, pricing that is intentionally misleading, or content unrelated to educational services.

Ad visibility: Ad placement and visibility depend on your subscription plan. Free plan ads appear on the main tuition listing only. Basic plan ads appear on grade and subject pages. Pro plan ads appear across the platform including resource detail pages.

Moderation: We reserve the right to edit, reject, or remove any advertisement at our discretion without prior notice or refund.

The Ape Danuma name, logo, and original content are the property of Ape Danuma. Study materials sourced from the Department of Examinations and NIE are the property of their respective owners and are shared for educational purposes only. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from platform content without permission.

XP points, levels, streaks, badges, and leaderboard rankings are features provided for educational engagement purposes. They have no monetary value and are non-transferable. We reserve the right to adjust, reset, or revoke gamification data at any time, including in cases of Terms violations or technical corrections.

Students may submit reviews and ratings for teachers. Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experience. Prohibited: fake reviews, defamatory statements, reviews submitted in exchange for payment or incentives. Teachers may report reviews they believe violate these terms. We reserve the right to remove reviews at our discretion.

You must not:

• Create fake or impersonating accounts
• Submit fraudulent payment receipts
• Use automated tools to scrape or download content in bulk
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users through inquiries or reviews
• Attempt to circumvent platform security or access controls
• Submit spam through contact forms, resource requests, or tuition submissions

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms of Service, engages in fraudulent activity, or poses a risk to platform security or other users. Upon termination, your data will be retained for a period of 30 days before deletion, except where retention is required by law.

Ape Danuma provides resources and platform services on an “as is” basis. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any resource for any particular purpose. We are not responsible for the content of tuition advertisements, teacher profiles, or third-party links. Past paper resources are shared for educational purposes and remain the intellectual property of their respective copyright holders.

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from the use of this platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
